Custom Toddler Car Seat Cover

My mother and I were discussing how quickly the marketplace is changing and evolving in the modern world. It seems like wherever you go companies are bending over backwards to please everyone.  There are so many choices it can often boggle the mind trying to process every choice that is available.  Just last week I was shopping for a custom toddler car seat cover, for my toddling child Anna.

The choices that were made available to me while I was talking to my Brittax representative were staggering. I had knew I always had a choice between many popular existing design lines such as: Laguna Blue, Cowmooflage, Chocola, Auburn Tiger, Crocodile, or a custom toddler car seat cover.  Since I already had a Cowmooflage and Chocola design combined into a reversible cover, I wanted to attempt a custom design that would show Anna off to the world.

Since Brittax has been setting baby trends, and breaking them since the 30’s, I know I can always trust them to do things right by Anna and I.  I was really impressed they had started doing custom baby accessories.  I guess it was bound to happen. I can get a half calf, double expresso, mocha latte.  So why not a custom toddler car seat cover?

Immediately my mind started to dance at the possibilities.  Purple, mauve, or pink? Mix a splash of white to get the eyes dancing?  My husband would be losing his mind right now if he could see me going from page to page, color to color attempting to make a solid decision.  I remember years ago when we first started dating, I sent him running out of a clothing boutique, at our local mall, because he couldn’t handle my indecisiveness.

I guess like most women, I hate to make a decision without examining every possible outcome.  Often times if I’m stopping some place for just a minute I’ll unsnap the car seat and take it in wherever I’m going – So I can’t have Anna’s car seat cover clashing with my coat, or sweater, etc.  You get the point I’m sure.

The prospect of having a custom toddler car seat cover for Anna was an invigorating experience, and I eventually decided on a pattern of my choosing. Its a mixture of my fave colors: mauve, pink, and a sprig of white speckles all over. I actually had it made into a reversible model, with white on the other side for my husband.  He is easy going about our baby accessories, but I know he would appreciate being able to “tone it down a notch”.  I love to stand out in public, and he likes to blend in, so we now have the best of both worlds.
