My name is Sara, and you may have seen other articles I’ve written regarding my recently toddling baby Anna. I’ve become somewhat of an expert in baby accessories, as I’m sure many of you single mothers out there have. I recently found myself at a family barbeque with Anna, and hubby Joe. Not a very interesting story so far right? Well I found out the value of a waterproof toddler car seat cover. The HARD WAY!

Anna got soaked, as my attention briefly turned to the windows on our Jeep being down. I told Joe to watch the baby while I went and rolled the windows up quickly. Coming back I checked on Anna to find that, although she was dry, her seat was getting wetter by the second. I realized I hadn’t even considered getting a waterproof toddler seat cover for situations like this one.

When I got home I dug into my baby magazines to find out what my options were. I knew I would likely be going with a Brittax product, as I had a stroller made by them, and the accessories to go along with it. My current toddler seat covers were also made by them. The car seat itself was a hand me down from my sister, made by Grayco. Enough of my babbling though, on to the quest for my Brittax waterproof car seat cover!

When searching through my magazine I soon realized there were plenty of options regarding style, and color which was amazing. As far as fabric is concerned, I could either look for something to slip on over my existing cotton, or synthetic blend cover Or I could by a plush cotton cover, with a waterproof coating. Brittax and companies like Grayco, Peg Perego, and Chico Key all offer cotton or cotton blend, synthetic or synthetic blend waterproof toddler seat covers with a synthetic coating.

I have mentioned in other articles how important it is to be cautious with fabric choices when it comes to your toddler. Remember their little hands and feet are twitching, and moving around under that cover, and you want to be cautious of any sort of irritations that they develop. Some toddlers are allergic to polyester, and synthetic fabrics. You always want to look for any suspicious rashes that develop, and their source.

Brittax color selections were unending: Laguna Blue, Crocodile, Cowmooflage, Auburn Tigers, Chocola, or any custom color one could think of. I quickly decided on Cowmooflage because it sounds cute, and I like telling friends about my Cowmooflage Brittax waterproof toddler seat cover! Its a tongue twister, but it gets some laughs out of people. TRUST ME. Good luck with selecting what’s right for your hip newly toddling baby!

People have been asking me many questions lately about baby car seats, and more importantly fashionable car seat covers for our toddling children. I always recommend Brittax car seats, and the Brittax car seat cover line. In particular the Brittax reversible car seat covers. They offer a fashionable mom the flexibility to quickly switch between hip and cool car seat covers quickly, without having to carry an extra along in their vehicle.

Aside from Brittax products there are a wealth of able competitors: Grayco, Evenflo, Peg Perego, and Chico Key all made products to keep your baby looking original, and hip. I am simply stuck on the Brittax name because I stick with products that have been around for a long time. Similar to how people choose cars – You wouldn’t buy a car from a company that has only been in business for a year would you?

Why am I so insistently forcing the name on everyone? Selection, selection, and more selection. They have been around since the 1930’s. Need I say anymore? Because of this they have built a relationship of trust and guaranteed quality. The Brittax car seat cover selection is the only choice for me when choosing infant and toddler seat covers. Their reversible toddler car seat cover line is no different. There are so many choices to choose from.

Everything is well made, roomy, stain resistant, hip and trendy. There are dozens of design combinations that can be made when choosing a reversible car seat cover. You can choose from one of their many trendy available patterns such as: Laguna Blue, Crocodile, Cowmooflage, Auburn Tiger, or Chocola, to name just a few. They also allow you to custom order a pattern if you have something else in mind. My personal preference is Cowmooflage! I get so many laughs when I tell people about my Cowmooflage Brittax seat cover!

Another advantage of having a reversible toddler car seat cover, is your ability to control messy situations that arise. Lets say your away from home for the day and, as you exit the bank on your way to your SUV, a bird “innocently” relieves themselves on baby’s Cowmooflage car seat cover. You simply, and quickly reverse the cover and show off your Chocola, or Laguna Blue cover, and no one will be the wiser. Happy choosing ladies!

My mother and I were discussing how quickly the marketplace is changing and evolving in the modern world. It seems like wherever you go companies are bending over backwards to please everyone. There are so many choices it can often boggle the mind trying to process every choice that is available. Just last week I was shopping for a custom toddler car seat cover, for my toddling child Anna.

The choices that were made available to me while I was talking to my Brittax representative were staggering. I had knew I always had a choice between many popular existing design lines such as: Laguna Blue, Cowmooflage, Chocola, Auburn Tiger, Crocodile, or a custom toddler car seat cover. Since I already had a Cowmooflage and Chocola design combined into a reversible cover, I wanted to attempt a custom design that would show Anna off to the world.

Since Brittax has been setting baby trends, and breaking them since the 30’s, I know I can always trust them to do things right by Anna and I. I was really impressed they had started doing custom baby accessories. I guess it was bound to happen. I can get a half calf, double expresso, mocha latte. So why not a custom toddler car seat cover?

Immediately my mind started to dance at the possibilities. Purple, mauve, or pink? Mix a splash of white to get the eyes dancing? My husband would be losing his mind right now if he could see me going from page to page, color to color attempting to make a solid decision. I remember years ago when we first started dating, I sent him running out of a clothing boutique, at our local mall, because he couldn’t handle my indecisiveness.

I guess like most women, I hate to make a decision without examining every possible outcome. Often times if I’m stopping some place for just a minute I’ll unsnap the car seat and take it in wherever I’m going – So I can’t have Anna’s car seat cover clashing with my coat, or sweater, etc. You get the point I’m sure.

The prospect of having a custom toddler car seat cover for Anna was an invigorating experience, and I eventually decided on a pattern of my choosing. Its a mixture of my fave colors: mauve, pink, and a sprig of white speckles all over. I actually had it made into a reversible model, with white on the other side for my husband. He is easy going about our baby accessories, but I know he would appreciate being able to “tone it down a notch”. I love to stand out in public, and he likes to blend in, so we now have the best of both worlds.

In the months leading up to your baby being born, all an expecting mother can think about is what will become her baby’s life when he or she is born. I was just that person, planning and organizing every tiny detail that would come with motherhood. People have been asking me many questions lately about baby car seats, and more importantly car seat covers. I always recommend Britax car seats, and the Brttax car seat cover line.

Why Britax your asking? Why am I so insistently forcing the name on everyone? Its very simple Reputation. They have been around since the 1930’s. Need I say anymore? People have been born, lived their life, and passed on in the time this company has been protecting, and outfitting babies of several generations. Because of this they have built a relationship of trust, loyalty, and guaranteed quality. The Britax car seat cover selection is the only choice for me when choosing infant and toddler seat covers.

Originating from the UK, Brittax has built their reputation, and trust world wide with a selection of car seats like the Britax Marathon, baby carriages, and the Brittax car seat cover(s). They also aren’t the bottom of the barrel cheapest products, which is important. I never skimp on my clothing, or accessories…So why would I do that with my baby?

Everything is well made, roomy, stain resistant, hip and trendy. There are hundreds of color combinations that can be made when choosing a Britax car seat cover.

Some toddlers are allergic to polyester, and synthetic fabrics. You always want to look for any suspicious rashes that develop, and their source.

There you have it. There are so many choices out there. If your like me you like choices when it comes to fashion. Baby accessories are an extension of you, and your baby’s personality. Kind of similar to the clothes you wear, or that super cool have to have it purse or handbag. Getting a Britax car seat cover is a good investment towards your baby being a popular part of our society!
